Tuesday, June 17th
7:45 a.m. Please
meet group leader at the Registration desk in the Sioux Falls Convention Center
8:00 a.m. Depart Convention Center for breakfast at Victorian Tea
Room.
8:15 a.m. Enjoy this restaurant’s atmosphere in a Victorian
style home.
9:30 a.m. Get in touch with South Dakota’s outdoors at
the Outdoor Campus. You will have the choice of a class on making birdhouses,
soap or perfume. You will learn and use the nature around you in this exciting
and creative class.
10:45 a.m. See exotic butterflies at the
Butterfly House. Sertoma Butterfly House is a year-round tropical paradise in
the heart of Sioux Falls, SD. Fifty to sixty species of butterflies can be found
flying in the butterfly exhibit. There is always at least 500 free flying
butterflies and often as many as 1000 waiting to flutter around their guests.
These butterflies are from all over the world: North America, Costa Rica,
Ecuador, El Salvador, Malaysia, Kenya and Europe. Experience lush green tropical
plants, 80-degree temps, a 5-foot waterfall, Koi pond and enjoy a 20-minute
video filmed at Callaway Gardens on butterflies. The Sertoma Butterfly House is
a service project of the Noon Sertoma Club, which is dedicated to the service of
mankind. Their fund raising efforts, including profits from the Sertoma
Butterfly House, support local charities.
11:45 a.m. Lunch at
Minerva’s a dining landmark since 1977. Located in the heart of Sioux Falls, a
favorite for locals and travelers alike.
12:45 p.m. Tour the
Pettigrew Home and Museum. This museum is the 1889 Queen Anne style home of
South Dakota’s first senator, R.F. Pettigrew. Explore exhibits on Sioux Falls in
the late 1800’s and take a dramatic glimpse into the past through the elegant
rooms of the beautifully restored Pettigrew home.
2:00 p.m. C.J.
Callaway’s Culinary Classroom. Chef Amy will teach you how to make two delicious
dishes and pair them with either a white or red wine. Dazzle guests at your next
dinner party with the dishes you learn to make, including, one of the wonderful
desserts Chef Amy is famous for. At the end of the class you will have a chance
to shop their gourmet selection of specialty items including balsamic vinegar to
exquisite olive oils and top–shelf wine choices.
4:00 p.m. Tour
ends. The shuttle service will take you back to the Sioux Falls Convention
Center.
6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Special Dinner & Entertainment Event at
J&L Harley Davidson. You are invited to join your spouse or partner for this
special off-site dinner and entertainment event celebrating the 100th
Anniversary of Harley-Davidson.
Wednesday, June 18th

Pontoon rides, a guided tour of Devils Gulch and shopping at Christmas in the
Attic. Cruise the historical and scenic Split Rock River and see the cave where
Jesse James hid from the law, then hike the trail at Devil’s Gulch where he
jumped to freedom. Christmas shop early at Christmas in the Attic or enjoy a
treat at the Old Fashioned Soda Fountain.
12:00 p.m. Tour Ends. The
Shuttle Service will take you back to the Sioux Falls Convention Center.
Afternoon Activities
1:00 p.m. Depart Convention Center with
workshop attendee’s for a fun filled afternoon of your prior selection.
