Melbourne Airport

Melbourne city is 25 kilometres from the airport; a 25 minute drive via the Tullamarine Freeway. A taxi trip to central Melbourne costs around AU$40, or there is a shuttle bus service every 30 minutes.
With the domestic terminals only a short walk from the international terminal, transfers are easy and within minutes.

Airport Taxis

Taxis are available from the ground floor level of Melbourne Airport, outside the International Terminal and domestic Terminals. Expect to pay around AU$80 to AU$85 for a return trip between the CBD and Melbourne Airport.

A AU$2.00 taxi parking fee applies at Melbourne Airport. This AU$2.00 per vehicle fee only applies to passengers leaving Melbourne Airport from a taxi rank. A AU$3.00 per vehicle pre-booked taxi fee also applies for passengers catching a limousines or taxis from the Premium Parking area opposite Terminal 2.


Bus Services —Skybus

Skybus offers a shuttle bus service from the airport to Melbourne CBD (central business district) and city hotels.

This service operates 24 hours, 7 days.
Buses run every 10-15 minutes throughout the day and every 30-60 minutes overnight.

Skybus Hotel Shuttle operates from the city 0600-2200 Monday to Friday and 0730-1830 Saturday and Sunday.
Adult one way tickets cost AU$15 / AU$24 return

Travel Documents Needed
